So this is the last post on this blog. I’m going back to the UK next week. I’ve spent 11 months here in Johannesburg. I’m all done and satisfied. Here are some photos of the excellent people I’ve been with and this beautiful-ugly city – the most exciting city I’ve ever spent time in.

Will be great to have you back, Sarah, but I ain’t arf going to miss your blog! It’s been a real eye-opener to me, and something in me is nagging away that everyone should do something like what you’ve done – a kinda modern day ‘national service’ where you get to properly experience other cultures; where ‘going abroad’ is not eating pie and chips in an Irish pub in Majorca, but living with the real country and people – and then perhaps we’d all just get along that little bit better.
