I’m on a one-year adventure in Johannesburg from my home in Bristol, UK. I’m working (mostly) for a non-governmental organisation called Gun Free South Africa, as a Project Manager. Some of our enquirers seem to think we give out free guns. I tell them they need to call Free Gun South Africa; failing that, try MENSA. During the latter part of 2006, I was working for an HIV / AIDS NGO, and still put in the odd day there. I’m funded by a charitable organisation in the UK.

Hiya,
I’m also a Brit volunteer working for an HIV/AIDS charity that uses Arts to change behaviour of young people, except I’m in Namibia – I’d be really interested in exchanging a few emails about your experience. Maybe if you fancy a chat you could drop me a line?
Cheers,
Rach
